Do you have to give up your favorite fast fashion Do you have to give up your favorite fast fashion brands in the name of sustainable fashion? 🌿 🛍⁣ ⁣ No. Not totally at least.⁣ ⁣ In fact one of my favorite tips for shopping secondhand, especially online, is to search for brands that you know fit you (which let’s be honest, most of those are fast fashion brands).⁣ ⁣ For instance, my top and jeans here—both from Abercrombie & Fitch, both thrifted online 🙌.⁣ ⁣ At the risk of sounding like a 2007 middle schooler, I *love* Abercrombie & Fitch. What is one of the most important things you can d What is one of the most important things you can do to help solve the climate crisis? Talk about it. At least according to @katharinehayhoe.⁣ ⁣ I discovered Katharine’s @ted talk on climate change after listening to an episode of the @thinking_iscool podcast and I found both the podcast and Katharine’s talk to offer incredible perspectives on the current state of planet (and I’d highly recommend listening to both 🤗).⁣ ⁣ My biggest takeaway though was the importance of conversation. Climate change is already impacting us (see: severe droughts, food shortages, flash floods, the list goes on 😅), but we are not reacting quickly enough to stop it. ⁣ ⁣ It’s not enough to sit back and watch Friends for the 10th time while the scientists and politicians deal with it. We need as many people as possible putting pressure on politicians and businesses to listen to the scientists and enact systemic changes to fix this monumental issue.⁣ ⁣ To create that type of pressure you need a lot of people to care, and the best way to get people to care about something? What better way to end Earth month than with some What better way to end Earth month than with some sustainable wine? #ad⁣ ⁣ I love wine almost as much as I love sustainability (ok, sometimes I love it more), which is why I’m SO excited to tell you guys about @cakebreadcellars wine 🍷⁣ ⁣ The making of wine has A LOT of environmental impacts, from pesticides, to excessive water usage (did you know if takes 6 gallons of water to make 1 gallon of wine??), but Cakebread is looking to change that. ⁣ ⁣ They were the second California winery to achieve Napa Green certification (which means they’re making some serious eco moves ranging from organic farming to water conservation to extensive recycling operations).
