About The Blogger
My name is Morgan and my interest in all things pro-planet began in 2016 while I was studying fashion in New York City. During my studies I learned a great deal about the environmental and ethical issues within the fashion industry. Suddenly I was conflicted between pursuing my dream in a field fueled by low self-esteem and consumerism, or becoming one of those young adults who “has no clue what they want to do.” I chose the latter. After graduating, I wanted to be closer to my family in the midwest so I moved to Chicago where I began a career in Human Resources. About three years later, in 2020, I decided to start this blog as a creative outlet. Since then it has blossomed into a thriving community I’m so proud to be a part of, and incredibly excited to welcome you to!
When not googling “how to keep my plants alive” I can be found running along the Chicago lakefront, having a TSwift dance party, trying to make my own candles, watching true crime documentaries, or playing with my son, Goose (who, to clarify, is a Golden Retriever, not a human).
What You Can Expect From the Mostly Eco Community
This blog may be called Mostly Eco Morgan, but it’s about more than just about me, it’s about creating a community of Mostly Eco people. This is the place to come for simple, attainable eco-tips without the fear of being judged for not “doing enough” because being a Mostly Eco person is about trying to be better, not the best. It is not realistic to be perfectly sustainable in every part of your life and (spoiler alert) not all of my tips will be 100% eco-friendly. My goal is to be as transparent as possible about each eco tip I share so you can weigh the pros and cons and choose which products / tips work for your lifestyle.
If all the above sounds good to you, I highly encourage you to follow along on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, and if you want to contact me directly you can do so at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Welcome to the Mostly Eco Community, I can’t wait to talk all things pro-planet with you!
