My name is Morgan (which you’ve probably already figured out). My interest in all things pro-planet began in 2016 while I was studying fashion in NYC. During my studies I discovered how environmentally (not to mention psychologically) damaging the industry was and suddenly I was conflicted between pursuing my dream in a field fueled by low self-esteem and consumerism, or becoming one of those young adults who “has no clue what they want to do.” I chose the latter. But here’s the thing, to me, the fashion industry is like ANY Bravo TV show. I hate it, but no matter how much I hate it, I still kind of love it. That’s where this whole blog thing comes in. I get to put a sustainable twist on fashion (and other parts of life) allowing me to actively love the industry, minus (most of) the guilt (now if only I could find a way to feel the same about Bravo TV shows).
When not googling “eco-friendly candles” I can be found running along The 606, binge watching Schitts Creek, casually chatting about serial killers, eating breakfast for dinner or playing with my son, Goose (who, to clarify, is a Golden Retriever, not a human).
What You Can Expect From the Mostly Eco Community
This blog may be called Mostly Eco Morgan, but it’s about more than just about me, it’s about creating a community of Mostly Eco people. I want it to be a place where you can come for simple, attainable eco-tips without the fear of being judged for not “doing enough” because being a Mostly Eco person is about trying to be better, not the best. It is not realistic to be perfectly sustainable in every part of your life and (spoiler alert) not all of my tips will be 100% eco-friendly. My goal is to be as transparent as possible about each eco thing I share so you can weigh the pros and cons and choose which products / tips work for your lifestyle.
You’re also going to hear talk about body positivity, anxiety, racial justice, feminism and a variety of other topics that may not seem relative to saving the planet, because guess what friends, we can’t take care of the environment if we don’t take care of ourselves. Human rights come first. Mental and physical health comes first. Mother Earth will understand.
If all the above sounds good to you, I highly encourage you to follow along on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest, and if you want to contact me directly you can do so at email@example.com. I welcome all questions, suggestions and feedback for improvement (just please be nice about it because the last thing this planet needs in more hate).
Welcome to the Mostly Eco Community, I can’t wait to talk all things pro-planet with you!
