My morning routine is far from perfectly sustainab My morning routine is far from perfectly sustainable, but wanted to share with you all where I’m at right now.⁣
⁣
Skincare and haircare obviously make up a lot of my morning routine, and having gone through a period of having my hair fall out and suffering from extreme breakouts, experimenting with eco-friendly products in those categories is just not something I’m willing to do right now. 🤷‍♀️⁣
⁣
My point in saying that is that it’s totally okay if you can’t overhaul your entire routine. Just switch the things that work for you. The susty products I use in my routine are listed below:⁣
⁣
-Jasmine Green Tea from @arborteas
⁣
-Hydrating bodywash concentrate from @ethiqueworld⁣ (gifted)
⁣
-The Leaf Razor from @leafshave⁣
⁣
-Bodywash cloth: don't remember where it’s from but you can just search up “exfoliating cloth”⁣
⁣
-Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream from @versed⁣ (gifted)
⁣
-Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40, True Skin Serum Concealer, Radiant Translucent Powder SPF 40 from @iliabeauty⁣
⁣
-Daily Hydration Leave-In Treatment from @sheamoisture⁣

I think sustainable fashion is more about *how* yo I think sustainable fashion is more about *how* you buy than *what* you buy.⁣
⁣
Which is why when someone asks me how they can build a more sustainable wardrobe, my first piece of advice is to simply start shopping less.⁣
⁣
I think when most people (myself included) first become interested in sustainable fashion, they’re eager to figure out where to shop, but don’t pay any mind to changing their shopping habits, which is arguably the most important piece.⁣
⁣
Buying less, waiting longer to purchase clothes, learning to appreciate and care for the clothes you already own—those are the habits that will make your wardrobe more sustainable long-term whether you’re purchasing from sustainable brands, thrift stores or even fast fashion.⁣
⁣
What do you think? What’s your favorite way to participate in sustainable fashion?⁣

Instead of putting these celebrities on blast for Instead of putting these celebrities on blast for their carbon emissions has anyone thought that maybe we should just educate them?⁣
⁣
I don’t think coming at them for being “rich & ignorant” is a great approach. I want to see more people coming from a place of kindness to ask these celebrities to educate themselves and do better.⁣
⁣
Honestly, if I didn’t spend over half of my week solely focused on climate-related work I wouldn’t understand much of what needs to be done to help restore the planet. So odds are these celebrities (who we can’t deny are probably insanely busy) haven’t had time to properly learn what they could be doing.⁣
⁣
And up until the release of this list they haven't really been asked to do better, at least not this loudly.⁣
⁣
I believe that you can’t do better until you know better. So I encourage people to keep talking about the impact the 1% has on our planet. Share this video and others like it so that celebrity PR teams or the celebrities themselves see them.⁣
⁣
Call me a hopeless optimist, but I feel like there are a lot of celebrities (albeit, certainly not all of them) that would try to make changes if they were just more aware of exactly what kind of changes they needed to make. 🤷‍♀️⁣

Sustainable fashion isn’t just beige hemp clothe Sustainable fashion isn’t just beige hemp clothes anymore.⁣
⁣
In fact it never was.⁣
⁣
Sustainable fashion is thrifted finds, borrowed clothes, rented clothes, the clothes that are already in your closet. And it IS, cute. 😍⁣
⁣
I’ll admit, up until about 2017, I truly thought I couldn’t find cute sustainable clothes that I could afford. But once I started to change my perspective of what “sustainable” clothing really was (i.e., it’s not just clothes from planet-friendly brands), I started to realize that eco-friendly fashion was within my reach.⁣

The final installment of my bathroom cleaning seri The final installment of my bathroom cleaning series!⁣
⁣
Last, but not least is the floors. 🤗⁣
⁣
The mop is from Bona. They have both multi-surface and hardwood floor cleaner refills.⁣
⁣
And here’s the recipe for the scrubbing paste (make sure to check out parts one and two to see how I use it to clean the rest of my bathroom!):⁣
⁣
* 1/3 cup of baking soda⁣
* Teaspoon of salt for extra scrubbing power⁣
* A few pumps of dish soap⁣
* 2 tbsp of hydrogen peroxide⁣

Does anyone else find it oddly satisfying to scrub away the dirt between tiles? It can’t just be me 😅⁣
