2. An experience
3. Supporting a local small biz

I haven’t reminded ya’ll about composting in a I haven’t reminded ya’ll about composting in a while, so let’s chat about it. 🤗

As a lil refresher, food doesn’t break down properly in landfills because it lacks the necessary amount of oxygen. What results is a bunch of food scraps releasing methane, a greenhouse gas even more potent than carbon dioxide.

How do we avoid that? By composting. And here are a few ways to set up composting for your household:

-You can set up a compost bin in your backyard using organic materials such as leaves, grass clippings, and fruit and vegetable scraps.

-If you don’t have a backyard, you can try indoor composting using a worm bin or bokashi system.

-Check if your city has a municipal composting program where you can drop off your organic waste to be composted on a larger scale.

-Some cities also offer pickup programs where you can collect your organic waste in a bin and they’ll pick it up to use for compost each month.

Lmk how you compost or reduce your food waste in the comments ⬇️
